CTM Marine 3-year Limited Warranty

Air conditioning systems supplied by CTM Marine (hereafter referred to as “CTM”) are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship at the time of sale. If CTM determines, at its sole discretion, that a CTM product contains a defect in materials or workmanship during the applicable warranty period, CTM may repair or replace the product, or refund the original purchase price, at CTM’s sole option.Air conditioning systems supplied by CTM Marine (hereafter referred to as CTM) are warranted against material and workmanship defects at the time of sale. If it’s determined by CTM, to its satisfaction, that a CTM product contains any material or workmanship defect during the warranty period, then CTM shall repair or replace the CTM product, or refund the original purchase price at CTM’s sole option.

If CTM elects to issue a refund for defects in materials or workmanship, such refund shall constitute full settlement of all warranty claims and shall cancel the contract without reservation of rights by the owner. As a result, all claims the owner may have against CTM for any alleged or actual breach of warranty shall be fully and finally satisfied.When CTM chooses to issue a refund for defects in materials or workmanship, the refund shall cause the cancellation of the contract without reservation of rights by the owner. The purpose of this warranty is to protect the original end-user of the air conditioning system from defects and to provide repair or replacement of defective parts as described herein. During the warranty period, the exclusive remedy shall be, at CTM’s discretion, the repair or replacement of parts proven to be defective in material or workmanship.The intent of the CTM warranty is to protect the original end-user of the Air Conditioning System from defects and provide free repair and replacement of defective parts in the manner provided herein. During the warranty period, the exclusive remedy will be for CTM, at their discretion, to repair or replace those parts which are demonstrated to be defective in material or workmanship.

This warranty is provided to the original end-user and must be administered and serviced through an authorized CTM dealer in accordance with CTM warranty policies or contractual agreements between CTM and its authorized representatives. To obtain warranty service during the warranty period, the owner has the following options, in order of preference as determined by CTM:In order to obtain the benefits of the warranty during the warranty period the owner has the following options in order of preference to CTM:

A. Contact an authorized CTM dealer to perform the necessary repairs or service in the area where the product is located.A. Contact a CTM authorized dealer to perform the necessary repairs or work needed in the area where the product is located.

B. If no authorized dealer is available in the area, CTM may authorize a qualified local service provider to perform the required repairs or service.B. If there is no authorized dealer in the area, CTM may authorize and work with a local service provider.

C. If neither of the above options is available, the customer may return the product to the factory for repair or service. If CTM determines the warranty claim is valid, shipping and freight charges may be reimbursed both ways.C. If none of the above options are available, the customer may send back the product back to the factory to have the necessary repairs or work done. If it’s determined that the product presents valid warranty claims, shipping/freight charges may be reimbursed both ways.

WARRANTY PERIODS

The warranty period for CTM products varies by product type:

Self-contained units: Three (3) years limited warranty
First year: parts and labor
Second and third years: parts only

Split systems and chillers: Two (2) years limited warranty
First year: parts and labor
Second year: parts only

Water pumps: One (1) year limited warranty

The warranty period begins on the date of purchase (if purchased through a dealer or distributor), the installation date (if installed by an authorized CTM dealer), and/or the date the vessel is delivered to the owner (for OEM installations). However, the warranty period shall not exceed four (4) years from the original manufacture date.

RETURNING UNITS

We understand the inconvenience caused by a defective air conditioning unit and strive to provide timely replacements whenever possible. To expedite the replacement process, CTM may ship a replacement unit prior to receiving the defective unit.To ensure prompt return of the defective unit, a temporary hold of $1,000 USD may be placed on the purchaser’s credit card until the defective unit has been received and inspected by CTM. This hold will be released once the inspection process is completed, which may take up to ten (10) business days.We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

‍•This warranty does not cover, and CTM specifically excludes liability for, the following:
• Normal wear and tear of service parts, including filters and fuses
• Additional labor charges associated with the removal or reinstallation of the air conditioning system
• Accessibility of the CTM product, which remains the responsibility of the original installer or OEM
• Damage occurring during shipping or transit; all such claims must be filed directly with the carrier
• Improper installation not performed in accordance with supplied installation instructions or approved OEM applications

• Deterioration caused by normal wear, corrosion, abuse, accidents, improper storage or operation, or lack of reasonable maintenance
• Product modifications, alterations, use of non-genuine parts, or repairs performed by unauthorized personnel
• Water damage to electrical components, including control boards, displays, and thermostats
• Failures caused by improper winterization proceduresUse of refrigerants or substitutes not authorized by CTM
• Economic losses, including travel expenses, vessel downtime, personal injury, or any incidental or consequential damages arising from any breach of this warranty

CTM reserves the right to modify these warranty terms without prior notice in order to comply with applicable laws or warranty regulations in states or countries that provide remedies different from or in addition to those described in this document.
